The rain last week triggered runs of fish in nearly all of the tributaries big and small, stocking or no stocking. Then theres the building King numbers at the dam, fish numbers probably outpacing the creeling pressure to this point. Fishing pressure is real light, only a few anglers on the water. They scored 4 king salmon (17-20 lbs) and a trophy sized steelhead weighing in at 16 lbs. The king was 32 pounds, 4 ounces and it was a new Grand Prize leader for the derby. So when even a reasonable high and stained water window presents itself, that may be the best time to fish. Looks like all the area trib flows are on the rise from recent showers and continued run off. Thru yesterday guys were into good steelhead action on some fresh fish on the highest flows while water color was not too bad.
